NWP is gathering evidence about teachers' writing histories and teachers' writing journeys. By immersing themselves in the writing process and contributing to their group dynamic, teachers are learning more about what writing is - and what makes it 'good' . In the process, they overcome their fears, silence the critics in their heads, and come to respect how it feels - the sheer hard work of it - and the delight of expressing and refining writing over time with others.
We have developed partnerships with several institutions. We continue to be well supported by NATE, UEA and Buckinghamshire Local Authority and are developing a range of sympathetic partners, especially the British Library which has become the venue for annual conferences and workshops over the past 2 years, and will host group leader and executive meetings from this December 2013.
