Jeni and Simon have written a book for NATE/Routledge about Teachers' Writing Groups. It is based on the principles, methods, and evidence from the first 6 years of the project, from its foundation in 2009, to 2015.
A writing residential for teachers took place in 2016, during the autumn half-term break, Sun 23 Oct - Tuesday 25 Oct 2016, at Belsey Bridge on the Norfolk/Suffolk border.
32 writing teachers' groups have been launched across England and Wales, and qt the start of 2017, about 24 were still running, led entirely by volunteer teachers. The most established is the UEA group which preceded the formation of NWP (UK). The newest groups which started in 2017 are Bedford, Uttoxeter, Leyburn, and the re-launched Reading.
